FYI To anyone interested, on April 9th, I believe, the Discovery channel's Future Weapons will have an episode on Spooky AC130 Gunships...the planes I work on everyday. If at all interested check it out, you'll see the planes I fix, where I work everyday, what they actually do, etc. They were here about a month ago filming and I just heard its supposed to air on the date I gave. Should be interesting.
PS... if anyone happened to see Mail Call on the history channel, about Hurlburt Fld, last friday, the gunships they showed, were not the ones I work, just the older, less destructive ones. This will be specifically on our planes, the real dark angels in the night

Jeppsen Family Reunion

As Kelsey posted, the 2007 Jeppsen Family Reunion is scheduled for Park City, Utah. Tentatively, we’ll arrive Friday and leave Monday or Tuesday. Please let us know who can stay and who will need to leave Monday. We would like to have a full day of activities if enough can stay on Monday. We’re waiting for a packet from the Marriott before the exact location is set. (Obviously, the Marriott is our first choice--read Kelsey's post and you'll see why.) We’ve been checking activities and have come up with the following. We need you to give your input. Please either post a reply or send us an email with your top three choices. We may have activities that we all do together and possibly an activity or two that can be done as small groups so let us know what you would be most interested in. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll make the decision for you (and then no complaining will be allowed).

1. Jordenelle Reservoir -water craft, etc.

2. Horseback riding

3. Zip rider

4. Alpine slide

5. Alpine coaster

6. Town lift to mountain top—hike/lunch (possibly Sunday)

7. Diggler Scooters

8. Miniature Golf

9. Snow skiing?? (ha ha)

10. Human Maze

11. Little Miner’s Park--includes a merry-go-round, kiddie airplane ride and space train

12. Mountain Biking

13. Shopping at outlets

Any other ideas?

A Brief Introduction to the Family Reunion

So I know there are lots of you out there who have been wondering where is the family reunion? When is the family reunion? What are we doing at the family reunion? Well, I'll post a little of the information I know about here, so if you read the blog, maybe you'll find your answers!

This past Saturday I met Grandma in Park City to find a place to stay for the reunion. We looked at a bunch of condos before we came to the conclusion that it was going to be kind of difficult to get enough rooms for all of us. The last place we checked was the Marriot in Park City (across from where Eric works). I'm not sure if that is for sure where we're staying, you'd have to ask my parents, but Grandma and I really liked it. We were very impressed with the nice man who gave us a tour of the hotel, we liked the different fun areas like the lobby where we could meet or just relax, and the rooms were really nice. Also, if we're lucky, there are rooms that all open up to the balcony next to the pool that we might be able to get and if that is the case, we can all hang out in the courtyard between our rooms.

So get ready for Labor Day weekend in Park City because it's going to be a blast! I love you all!

Am I in?

I for one think that the blog is an awesome idea and I have been trying since the beginning to get involved in it - you would think that being a member of the somewhat younger generation and being married to a graphic designer that I could figure this thing out - but I guess not! Anyway, hopefully it is working now. I have loved reading about all of your adventures and seeing the pictures of everyone!!! I will now attempt to attach some pictures of my own so you can see how my little ones are doing. I hope you are all well and I will continue to read your entries and continue to attempt to add my own. Love you all - Andria

Beautiful Day at Mammoth

We had a great day skiing Mammoth Mountain Saturday. Even Logan got in the act (although unlike us, he prefers to eat his "ski").

The weather was gorgeous--around 50 degrees with a bright blue sky and NO WIND--spring skiing in March! Despite the warm temperatures, the snow stayed great and the crowds were manageable (for a Saturday, that is).

Colette made a complete spectacle of herself at the top of Solitude after being thrown to the ground by a whack on the back from the chair lift after disembarking, but she recovered nicely (no they didn't have to stop the lift).

Of course, Stan continually egged her on and actually got her down the front side of Face Lift (this is a big deal). He next tried for another attempt at Scottie's Run but ran out of luck--the memories of descending Scottie's face first were still too fresh on Colette's mind.

And what about Stan? Well, he outskied everyone on his brand new B4s.!!!(Note the color!)

The fun couple from California

Alright, since this is up and doesn't seem to get much use, I figure I'll contribute to hopefully keep this going, it is a good idea and we all should participate. It's good to hear from people...dad, we know so cal is awesome, stop rubbing it in our faces:) Anyways, life in FL is good, spring breakers are arriving here and the traffic is reflecting that. The weather is getting warm and with that I'm getting a slight feel of what humidity is....not looking forward to the 100 deg temps plus 100 percent humidity. Oh well, it'll be like a non stop sauna.
This last weekend while scoping a mtn bike trail I came across a tank graveyard, it was kinda cool. Hundreds of armored vehicles scattered an old air strip hidden in the Panhandle backwoods. I was with a couple friends and cant say that we didn't get a little destructive...what else would we do in that situation? Anyways, work here is good, our gunships are up and at it killing people, (Somalia) and other places I cant say. I'm staying busy, trying to adjust being around so many country folks (strange people if you ask me).
I'm glad you made it onto here Grandma, now if you can figure it out, no one has an excuse not to.
LOVE YA ALL!

It doesn't get much tougher than this.

Hey everyone! It's Kelsey writing. I spent this past weekend at Grandma's house in Bountiful where we made a delicious Chinese dinner in honor of Chinese New Year. It was complete with fortune cookies and all. On Saturday Eric and I went to Park City where he raced cross-country skiing and then we went up to Snowbasin and Eric taught me to skate ski for my birthday. For all of you that won't get on downhill skis, maybe we can get you to try cross country skiing!

Anyway, here's a self-portrait Eric and I took attempting to look tough. I think we're going to need some practice seeing as we look more funny than we do tough.

I'd love to hear how everyone is doing and all the fun things going on in the family so please get Eric your usernames so you can post on here! Have a great week everyone!
