Alright, since this is up and doesn't seem to get much use, I figure I'll contribute to hopefully keep this going, it is a good idea and we all should participate. It's good to hear from people...dad, we know so cal is awesome, stop rubbing it in our faces:) Anyways, life in FL is good, spring breakers are arriving here and the traffic is reflecting that. The weather is getting warm and with that I'm getting a slight feel of what humidity is....not looking forward to the 100 deg temps plus 100 percent humidity. Oh well, it'll be like a non stop sauna.
This last weekend while scoping a mtn bike trail I came across a tank graveyard, it was kinda cool. Hundreds of armored vehicles scattered an old air strip hidden in the Panhandle backwoods. I was with a couple friends and cant say that we didn't get a little destructive...what else would we do in that situation? Anyways, work here is good, our gunships are up and at it killing people, (Somalia) and other places I cant say. I'm staying busy, trying to adjust being around so many country folks (strange people if you ask me).
I'm glad you made it onto here Grandma, now if you can figure it out, no one has an excuse not to.

Hey everyone! It's Kelsey writing. I spent this past weekend at Grandma's house in Bountiful where we made a delicious Chinese dinner in honor of Chinese New Year. It was complete with fortune cookies and all. On Saturday Eric and I went to Park City where he raced cross-country skiing and then we went up to Snowbasin and Eric taught me to skate ski for my birthday. For all of you that won't get on downhill skis, maybe we can get you to try cross country skiing!

Anyway, here's a self-portrait Eric and I took attempting to look tough. I think we're going to need some practice seeing as we look more funny than we do tough.

Okay, I admit that I haven't been writing as much as I probably should be. At the same time, I haven't exactly been sitting in front of the TV, either. Between work, skiing, and cycling, I'm not left with much time, especially when you factor in a long daily commute. Besides, I assumed that no one really wants to hear about my training schedule.

That said, this weekend I went down to Saint George to do a little training. Actually, I went down to Saint George to do a lot of training. My job and the weather have conspired to keep me off my bike for most of '07, but with the race season just around the corner I thought it might be a good idea to head south and whip myself back into shape. 15+ hours on the bike in three days should help.

On Saturday, the drive to Saint George took less than 4 hours. Unfortunately, my return trip coincided with a nasty little storm in southern Utah. Despite the traffic, I did make it home safely, although much later than expected. Why is the car upside down in a ditch always a 4x4?

Viva Snowbird!

I can tell we are going to have to have Eric give everyone a lesson in how to use this blog sight. I am shocked that I am the last one to enter a blog! I thought the "younger generation" was supposed to be computer literate and I figured they would go to town with this. Not so. Consider the gauntlet to have been thrown down. What are you folks all up to out there? I heard on the radio that they had found a body (dead for about a year) in front of a still playing TV set. I hope that's not what you are all up to. Remember, everyone is busy but we all have a little time to keep in touch - something about time management?

Now, for the interesting part. I am pleased to advise you that Kelsey and I had a wonderful day at Snowbird last Friday (in celebration of her pending departure from teen hood). Within the preceding 24 hours the mountain had received about 15" of new snow so we couldn't have caught it better. We skied until our legs hurt (come to think of it they are still a bit sore). But let me tell you, it was a ball!

Perhaps the most interesting part of the day was our journey through the new "tunnel" at the top of the mountain. They have dug a tunnel to connect the front side of the mountain with the back side. You ride through it on a people mover conveyor belt. It is surprisingly like the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. Pretty cool. Anyway, we had a great day and Kelsey skied me into the ground.

On Saturday we went bowling with Scott and Troy. Troy is the master trash talker but Kelsey was feeling her oats and actually beat us all in the second game. She was mumbling something about joining the pro-bowlers tour on the way out the door. Troy was babbling something about "next time". I think everyone had a great time and we finished off with dinner at Appleby's - Thanks, Mom.

My flight home was without incident (and on time to boot!). I'll put this trip down as a success.

Hey, I'm checking this out to see if I can actually do it. It's another sunny day in LA (mid-60's, Oh how I hate saying that ;) but you know how it is....). For those of you that haven't signed onboard yet, let's get after it. We are all going to have to make this work. If I can do it, all of you can.

Not much new to say. Logan went to the doctor yesterday and got a clean bill of health. The doctor said he has maintained his svelt physique, weighing in at 95 lbs., the same weight as last year! So there, those of you that said he was getting fat!!

I'll be in SLC late next week and Kelsey and I are planning to sneek in a day or two of skiing. Hopefully the weather gods will cooperate. It seems like you guys in Denver have taken more than your fair share of the snow this year. It's time to share the wealth a bit.
